Biography

Israel was born in 1782. He was the son of Thomas Leighton and Lydia Tracy.[1]

Israel married first Amy Smith, who died 14 April 1817. Israel filed intentions on 1 August 1817 to marry secondly Priscilla Strout, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Knowles) Strout.[2]

Israel was living in Steuben in 1820.[3]

He passed away in 1830.
