Biography

Reuben was born in 1834. He was the son of Joseph Lenhart and Lydia Sprinkle. [1]

In 1850 he was 16 and living in Ohio with his family. [2]

He married (1) Margaret Jane Cellars before 1865, perhaps in Indiana. She was born in 1838 in Ohio per the 1870 census.

In 1870 Reuben, Margaret and their two young children (Ann born in Indiana and Samuel born in Kansas) were living in Kansas. [3]

In 1875 Reuben and Margaret were living in Kansas with four children: AS (Ann), SC (Samuel), CM (Cora), and HV. [4]

He married (2) E S unknown before the 1880 census.

In 1880 Reuben and a wife listed with initials ES (born in Ohio in 1850) were living in Kansas with 3 children: SC (Samuel), Cora and Stella. [5]

He married (3) Laura Jaudon in 1882 in Ohio.[6]

In 1900 he and his wife Laura were living in Ohio. Per this census she had not given birth to any children. [7]

In 1910 Reuben was living with his wife and sister-in-law in Ohio. [8]

In 1920 they were still living in Ohio. His wife's sister Olive Jaudon is living with them. [9]

Reuben, retired merchant, died at 87 years old in 1921 in Canton, Start, Ohio. [10]

Buried in West Lawn Cemetery, Canton, Ohio. [11]
