Andrew Lester was born to Andrew and Sarah Clarke Lester in New London shortly before he was baptized there on 23 Aug 1674^{[1] [2]}

Andrew was admitted to the First church in New London on 24 Jan 1691-2. ^[3]

Andrew married Lydia Bailey, daughter of Thomas, about 1695 in New London. A primary record of this marriage has yet to be found. Torrey and JW Lester attribute it to this Andrew.^[4][2]. However, ^[5] and The Parkhurst Manuscript Early Families of New London and Vicinity, 36 vols at the Public Library of New London, disagree, saying that Lydia Bailey was instead his father's third wife.
