Elvin was born in 1907. He was the son of John Lightsey and Von Stewart. The family was living in Natchitoches, Louisiana in 1910.[1]
Elven married Pearl Bertha Vickers. They had two children - Elvin George Jr and Betty Jean.[2] In 1940, the family was living in Newellton, Tensas, Louisiana.[3]
Elven was an EM2 in the US Navy during WWII, as noted on his military grave marker. He registered for the draft in Louisiana.[4]
He passed away in 1985.[5] Burial was in the Crowville Masonic Cemetery in Crowville, Franklin Parish, Louisiana.[6] He shares a grave marker with his wife, but also has a military marker.
