Biography

Birth

James was born in 1842 in Hanborough, Oxfordshire.[1] He was the son of Philip Long and Amelia Slatter. His baptism took place at the parish church of St Peter and St Paul on 9th November 1842.[2] His father gave his occupation at the baptism as labourer.
