Biography

William was born in 1828 in the Bahamas.

He married Margaret Curry. By 1860, they were living in Key West, Monroe County, Florida.[1] Children in the home were William, Otis, Ella, and Charles, as well as a 12 year old Martha Fine whose relationship is unknown. By 1870, children in the home were Otis, Ella, Wilson, Lafayette, and Julia.[2] Another child, Maggie, was added to the family by 1880.[3]

By 1900, William was widowed. His youngest child, Maggie, and her husband, Thomas T Thompson, were living with him.[4]

William passed away in 1901. Burial was in the Key West Cemetery in Key West, Monroe County, Florida.[5]
