Research Notes
Joseph Mann has sometimes been shown as a son of John Mann and Mary Tyers. This is incorrect as no father is named on his marriage record.[2]
His baptism record shows him to be the son of Sarah Mann and William Baylis, born 3 months before they were married.[1]
He was generally known as Joseph Mann, except in the 1881 census when he is recorded as Joseph Baylis.
