Biography

Oscar was born about 1856. Son of Sylvester McClure and Christiania Ann (Ward) McClure. [1]

In 1860 he was living with his parents, Sylvester and Christian, and younger brother Edgar in Illinois. [2]

His mother died.

In 1870 he was living with his father Sylvester, his stepmother Mary, four siblings and 1 half-sibling in Illinois. [3]

He married (1) Arrilla Alberta Rotramel on 30 Jul 1882 in Jefferson County, Illinois. [4]

Children:

  1. Harry D born May 1883.
  2. Christi Ann born in 1885. [5][6] Annie married in 1908. [7]
  3. Edward S born 1 Apr 1887 in Dahlgren, Jefferson County, Illinois. Edward married in 1910. [8] He died 16 Apr 1964.
  4. Jean Richard born 10 Aug 1892 in Moore's Prairie. Jean married in 1914. [9] Died Jan 1977 in Lyons, Cook County, Illinois.
  5. Clyde E. born 10 Aug 1892 in Moore's Prairie. Clyde died in 1977. [10]

In 1900 Oscar was a widow living with four children (Harry, Anna, Edgar and Richard) in Illinois. [11]

In 1910 Oscar was living in Illinois. His sons Richard and Clydewere living with him. [12]

He married (2) Sarah Florence Minton in 1914. [1]

In 1920 Oscar was remarried and living with wife Sarah F in Illinois. [13]

In 1930 Oscar and Sarah were living in Illinois. Their granddaughter Imogene McClure was living with them. [14]

His wife Sarah Florence died in 1932. [15]

He passed died in 1934. [16]
