Elijah C. McGuire was born in 1816 in Floyd County, Kentucky. His middle name may have been Coffee but that is not confirmed. He was a son of James McGuire and Sarah Coffee.
Elijah married Sarah Nickell in 1836 in Morgan Co. They had several children, collected from Census records:
Stewart N, McGuire, born c1838
Gillian McGuire, born c 1842
Elizabeth A. McGuire, born c1844
Matilda E. McGuire, born c 1847
John T. McGuire, born c1849
James B. McGuire, born c1851
William H. B. McGuire, born c 1854
Susan M. McGuire, born c1857
Samuel F. McGuire, born c1860
Elijah died in 1888 in Greenup Co., KY and was buried in the McGuire Cemetery. Photos of his tombstone suggest the stone is broken and it is not legible.

The DOB was actually different, per the note I added at the bottom, I thought I had chosen the Jun date to propagate, but apparently when I copied the Jan date, it reset the info to carry into the final profile after the merge. Not sure where the Jan date came from.
You are right about the dates. Except for the unsourced FAG Memorial, with the illegible tombstone, I have no source for that much specificity. I'll try to find something to clarify.
