Biography
Sarah "Sally" Merriott (aka Marriott) was born about 1801 in Carter Township, Knox County, Tennessee, USA. She was the daughter of Thomas Merriott (aka: Marriott) and Elizabeth Suggett. [1]
On January 26, 1826, in Maryville, Blount Co., Tennessee, Sarah ("Sally") Merriott (aka Marriott), married Isaac Bonine (abt.1802-aft.1859). Isaac and Sally Bonine had 4 children:[2]
- William Thomas BONINE b: 1827 in Roane County, Tennessee; m: Dec. 6, 1849 to Sarah BOND, b: 1827 in Roane Co., TN.; he d: Jan. 1863.
- Permelia (Pamela) Ann BONINE b: 2 MAY 1830 in Tennessee; m: 1856 to Wm. Daniel Crosswhite, b: 1833 in NC; she d. 1908 in Versailles, Morgan, Missouri.
- James Madison BONINE b: 23 MAY 1836 in Tennessee; m: Dec. 7, 1857 to Vianna Jane Huff b: Aug 5, 1836 in KY; he d: 1901 in Missouri.[3]
- John Warren BONINE b: 1 JAN 1837 in Illinois; m: Feb 22, 1863 to Cynthia Ann Anderson, b: 17 MAY 1844 in AR; he d: Feb 15, 1922 in Southland TX. A Civil War veteran, he was a Judge and rancher.
Isaac and Sally Bonine were recorded as living on a farm in Richland, Morgan County, Missouri, in the 1850 Federal Census with 4 children: William Thomas, Permilia Ann, James Madison and John Warren. [4]
FamilySearch states that Sarah Sally (Marriott) Bonine died on 26 September 1850, shortly after the 1850 Census was enumerated, on the family farm in Richland Twp., Morgan County, Missouri, USA. [5]
