Biography
Joseph Joachim Messié was born and baptized on 12 Jul 1768 in Sainte-Anne parish of Varennes, Province de Québec. His parents were François Messier and Angélique Petit.[1]
Marriage
Joachim Messier dit St-François married Marie Ursule Cadieux, daughter of Antoine Cadieu and Catherine Brodeur, on 22 Jul 1793 in Sainte-Anne de Varennes, Bas-Canada. [Act states: Joint marriage with François Regis Ayet Malo and Apolline Robichault and that of Jean Baptiste Savaria and Catherine Duceau][2]Ursule passed away in 1804.
2nd Marriage
Joseph Messier dit St-François, widower of Ursule Cadieux, married Marie Catherine Bussière, daughter of Jean Baptiste Bussière and the late Marie Josephe Malboeuf, on 1 Jul 1805 in Sainte-Anne de Varennes.[3] Catherine passed away on 4 Aug 1811 in Varennes.
3rd Marriage
Joachim Messier dit St-François, widower of Catherine Bussière, married Marie Geoffrion, daughter of Jean Baptiste Geoffrion dit St-Jean and Marie Thérèse Girard, on 26 Oct 1812 in Sainte-Anne de Varennes.[4]
Death and Burial
Joseph Messier passed away on 11 Aug 1834 being given the age of around 66 years on the record. His burial was the following day in Sainte-Anne parish cemetery of Varennes.[5]
