Biography
George was born in 1881. He was the son of William Minchin and Susan Longden.
His father passed away in 1891 and he moved with his mother and siblings to Australia.
He married Ella May Hughes (daughter of Alfred Hughes and Margaret Gibbons) in 1901 in Glebe, New South Wales.
They had four children:
- Jessie May Minchin (b. 15 Aug 1903)
- George Alfred Minchin (b. 9 Feb 1910)
- Violet Ella Minchin (b. 31 Dec 1917)
- Reginald Vernon Minchin (b. 22 Oct 1920)
George passed away in 1956 at the age of about 74.
