On the 28th of February, 1832 Edouard married Zoe Campbell in the parish of Sainte-Marguerite-de-Blairfindie, in the village of L'Acadie, Bas-Canada.

Edouard died on the 6th of September, 1854 in the village of Henryville, Bas-Canada. Two days later he was buried in the parish of Saint-Georges-de-Noyan.
