Margaret "Maggel" Moomaw[1][2] was born on 14 October 1798 in Amsterdam, Botetourt County, Virginia, the twelfth and last child and the sixth daughter of John Conrad and Anna Marie Barbara Ranck Moomaw.[3][4][5]
In c1812 she moved with her family by covered wagon to Ross County, Ohio. There she met George Mahlon Ohmart, who was over a year younger than she. They were married in Ross County on 7 November 1821 and
had eight children.[6][7][8][9]
She died on 25 Nov 1835 in , Menard County, Illinois.[10]
