Biography

William was born in 1800 to parents John and Mary.[1] He married Elizabeth Watarall in 1821.[2] He was a blacksmith in Kirkby in Ashfield according to the census'. He passed away in 1882. [3][4]

Research notes

Two grandchildren are living with William and Elizabeth in the 1861 census. Elizabeth and Georgina. Georgina is Selina's daughter. Elizabeth is older. A birth index record likely for her puts her mother's maiden name as Morris suggesting she is illegitimate. Selina would likely have been too young at the time to be her mother. She is possibly Elizabeth's daughter as she passed away in 1856 possibly in child birth.
