Nicholas Mosher, son of Hugh Mosher and Rebecca Maxson, was born in 1666 at at probably Newport, Rhode Island. His father "of Newport" had purchased land at Westerly, Rhode Island in 1660 and was in Portsmouth, Rhode Island by 1668.[1] Hugh Mosher's property was on the line, laying partly in Portsmouth and partly in Newport.[2] Hugh Mosher didn't move to Dartmouth, Massachusetts until 1690.[1]
Nicholas was called Captain Nicholas Mosher.[1] He died 14 Aug 1747 at Tiverton, Newport, Rhode Island.[1][3]
