Mabel first married Hervey de Stafford.[1] They had no issue.[1] He was dead in 1242.
In 1245 either she, or another daughter of Robert de Muscegros whose name is unknown, married Geoffrey Daumbley. It does not appear likely that this daughter of Robert de Muscegros was the mother of Geoffrey's heiress Eleanor.[2] The exact date of Geoffrey's decease is unknown, but it was probably around 1250-1255.[3]
By 1252 she had married Robert Lisle, son and heir of Robert de Lisle by Alice daughter of Henry FitzGerald.[1] We know this because in this year the Close Rolls show that a widow of the Daumbley family named Isabella left the corn from her dower land to "Mabel the wife of Robert de Insula".
Robert and Mabel had one son, Warin, who was their heir.[1]
The 1255 Close Rolls show that Mabille de Aumbely, "daughter of Roberti de Muscegros" asked the king for pardons of various people in Suffolk who are evidently associated with the Amblie manors such as Elmsett and Somersham. (This would mean that Mabel was being referred to for this case by the surname of her deceased husband.)[4]
