Thanks Pip (Did your parents like "Lord of the Rings?)
Anyway, I am just beginning my journey researching my family tree. I began this journey because I am attempting to dig up documentation of my father's Canadian birth in 1913. I am a Candian Citizen by descent however in order to get the Canadian government to issue me a citizenship certificate I need to document his Canadian birth. He was born on a farm in rural Saskatchewan. No birth records seem to be available due to poor record keeping and or a fire that swept through the town of Cabri a few years after his birth.
