Hi Diana,

I noticed that you were currently following the CEMETERIES tag, but were not yet a member of the Cemeteries Global Cemeteries Project. If you are interested in more details about the project, or are just ready to sign up, please head on over to our G2G Welcome Post for more information.

I look forward to seeing you around the tree!

Diana, do you happen to speak any other languages? Would you check out our languages template and add it to your biography? For example you might add

{{ Languages | en | ro-2 | ga-1 }}

to the top of your biography if you speak Romanian natively, advanced English and basic Irish, or you could use de-4 to specify near-native German or ru-2 for intermediate Russian, and so forth up to ten languages.

It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree! If there is a language you speak that is missing from our categories, I would be happy to add it.

Thanks,

Karen

Diana –

You've probably been hard at work adding family members and getting connected to those that are already here. You should have at least a few profiles that you manage now. So, this week we're going to look at how to work with your Watchlist: How to Manage Your Watchlist.

As always, your questions are welcome!

Diana --

You've been here for three weeks now! We hope your profiles are starting to come together and that you've enjoyed getting to know all of us a little better.

You're probably getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now. We know that collaboration isn't always easy. So, we've put together a few pointers that can make working in this type of environment a little easier: How to be a Successful WikiTreer.

As always, your questions are welcome!

Diana--

It's time for your next stop on your guided tour. This week, we'd like to introduce you to our community and show you some ways to get more involved and stay up to date on everything that's going on: How to Join in the Community.

As always, your questions are welcome!

Hi there! My name is Vicky (Freeth) Majewski and I am a WikiTree Mentor.

I'm just checking in to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far? Any questions? Any issues?

Feel free to contact me via my profile page. I am happy to help!

Diana,

You are now a confirmed member, and you can get started adding your family members. As we've said, WikiTree is quite different from other genealogy sites. So, we've put together a guided tour to help you learn how to use it. Your first stop is How to Start Climbing Our Tree.

Tomorrow, you'll hear from a Mentor who will check in to see how you're doing and answer any questions you might have.

Next week, you'll get another message with your next stop on the guided tour.

You can also meet some of our members by joining in the fun with our Question of the Week in the G2G forum: If you could pick a different time period to live in, what would it be?

Welcome!

Hi Diana,

Welcome to WikiTree! Our goal is one big tree. We all work as a team to make this happen.

It doesn't matter if you have a lot of ancestors to add or just a few, getting started is easy! Add your personal tags, family surnames or topics that might interest you with a short description below them. Tags are very important and will help you connect with others about people, projects, etc. Then click the volunteer button below, and that's all you need to do.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way! I am looking forward to seeing you on Wiki Tree. I hope we have some tags in common.

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.
