Biography

Robert was born September 1881. He was the son of Herman Nixdorf and Auguste Kruger. He immigrated with his father Herman, step-mother Theophile, his siblings and step-siblings in March 1901. The family moved to Gretna, Manitoba. On 10 November 1901, he married Pauline Klatt in Gretna. They farmed in the Selkirk, Manitoba area. In 1940, Robert and Pauline were living and farming in Beaconia, Springfield, Manitoba. Robert passed away in Gull Lake in August 1945 and was buried in Gull Lake Pioneer Cemetery in Gull Lake, Manitoba.
