Biography

Nathan S. Noyes, born 17 Jan 1804 at Stonington, Connecticut, was the seventh child of Zerviah Wheeler & Joseph Noyes.

He married 23 Nov 1828 at Stonington, Connecticut, Nancy Denison; they were third cousins. At least two of the first children of this marriage died at birth (1829, 1831 twin girls) or in infancy. Later children born 1834 (William), 1836 (Elisha), 1837 (twin boy & girl), 1838 (girl) also died at birth or soon thereafter; thus of the approximately 13 children of this marriage, only 5 survived to adulthood. Only three married.

Nathan S. Noyes died 27 Aug 1898.
