Mary Oaks was born on July 16, 1741 in Marlborough, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay, daughter of Jonathan Oaks (1717–1784) and Rebecca Barnard (1725–~1749).

Mary (16) married Jonathan Sampson (24) (born on October 25, 1733 in Middleborough, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay; son of John Sampson and Abigail (Pudney) Sampson) on March 14, 1758 in Harvard, Worcester, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[1] Their children were:

Mary died on September 13, 1794 in Ashburnham, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States, aged 53. She was buried in Meetinghouse Hill Cemetery, Ashburnham, Worcester County, Massachusetts.[2]
