Assuming he was age 30 when he succeeded his father (407), his birth would be, say, 377. His father's birth being placed at 359, a 377 birth would place him born when his father was aged 22, a not unreasonable estimate.
407 Reign
Gunderic succeeded his father, Godogisel upon the latter's death in 407 first as King of the Hasding Vandals and then as King of the Vandals and Alans. [1]
Old info: "He ruled Spain (?) [jointly with his brother Geiseric][citation needed] from 425 to the date of his death in 428. Shortly thereafter, Geiseric went south to conquer and establish the African Kingdom of the Vandals. It is said that Gunderic died suddenly "of an evil spirit" after taking the church in Seville from the orthodox and turning it over to the Arians. It is also said that Geiseric murdered Gunderic's son, Gundamund, shortly after Guneric's death. I have no information about the fate of Gunderic's wife and Gundamund's mother, Elizabeth."[citation needed]
