Aditha Phelps was born on January 30, 1761 in Hebron, Tolland, Connecticut Colony, daughter of Barrett Phelps (1722–1789) and Hannah Bigelow (1730–1806).

Aditha (19) married John Sheldon (33) (born about 1747 in Kingston, South Kingstown, Kings, Rhode Island; son of Samuel Sheldon and Susannah (Shearman) Sheldon) in 1781. Their son was John Sheldon (1787–1880).

Aditha died on March 11, 1792 in Kingsbury, Washington, New York, United States, aged 31. She was buried in Moss Street Cemetery, Hudson Falls, Washington County, New York.[1]
