Renauld Poirier is a descendant of an Acadian

Renauld (dit P'tit Bruno) Poirier and his twin brother Moïse (dit Mitouk) were born in 1803. He was the son of Bruno Poirier and Marie Deveau He married Felicite Larade on January 13, 1824. He died on June 26, 1873, at the age of 70.

He seems to be appear as "Renauld" in the 1809 Acadian census of Cheticamp, the son of Bruno Poirier, with his wife Marie Devaux[1].

Bruno married Félicité Larade on January 13, 1824, in Chéticamp, Nova Scotia. They had six children during their marriage. He had five brothers and three sisters.

He seems likely to have married a second time, to a Collette Poirier, with whom he had a least one son, Marcelin, b. ca 1853[2].

Unsourced Ancestry.com trees suggest the following children with Collette:

  1. Henriette (1843–)

  4. Charles Poirier (1857–)
