Georges Pothier is a descendant of an Acadian

Georges Laurie Pothier was the son of Nicolas Amand Pothier and Anne Therese Pothier.[1]
He was born May 20, 1900 in Tusket Wedge, Nova Scotia[2][3] [4], and was baptised May 21, 1900 at St. Michael's[1] in Tusket Wedge.[4]
He grew up in the family home located on the Nicholas Road in Tusket Wedge.[3]
He was a fisherman by trade.[5]
He married Lydie M. Cottreau, the daughter of Charles Avite Cottreau and Louise Octavie Surette, on January 15, 1930 at St. Michael's.[5] in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia.[4]
Georges Laurie died July 13, 1990[1], and his funeral was held July 16, 1990 at St. Michael's.[1]
He was buried at St. Michael's Cemetery: Section A, Row 11, Marker 148.[6]
