Biography
Oprhena was born in 1867 to Cristina Maria Dorothea Staplefeldt and Christian Heinrich Wilhelm Prestin.
Her birthplace is uncertain but it was somewhere in Canada while her parents, better known by their Americanized names of Dorothy and William Prestin were enroute from their native home in Prussia to Climax Michigan.

- The following were added by Clarence Severance
- I do have memories of those occasions when she came to visit our home, that of Charles Ebert Severance and his wife, Helen May Ashley Severance. Orphena, or Aunt Phena, as she was better known was the sister of Mamie, Helen's mother.
- She was afflicted with a tremor of the chin, attributed to a back injury resulting from a butting by a buck sheep.
She was a kindly lady greatly attracted to Genevieve, daughter of Helen.
