Biography
George was born in 1880 in Climax Michigan to Christina Maria Dorothea Staplefeldt and Christian Heinrich Wilhelm Prestin. The parents immigrated to the United States from Prussia and were better known by their americanized names of Dorothy and William Prestin.
George was the last of 10 children in the family.
In the obituary of his elder sister Mamie Preston Ashley Drolet Wodke in February 1935 he is shown as residing in Sharon Washington.
