Biography
Ancestry have a Severin Alfred Rakowski. Born Lancashire in 1849.
He was the third child, but eldest son.
Severin Alfred Rakowski arrived in Australia as a 4 year old on 29th April 1853, with his family on the John Knox[1]
Severin Alfred was admitted as a partner to his father's firm on 29th June 1871[2], Severin junior having dissolved a parnership in A. Nicholson and Co on the 27th June 1871[3]
Severin Alfred(?) apparently later joined P. Johns, of Melbourne Iron Works, 84 Flinders-lane east, but left January 1876, it appears from the following advertisement, possibly not on good terms.
The Age (Melbourne, Vic.): Saturday 22 January 1876- Page 8<r /> NOTICE.— Mr. S. RAKOWSKI having LEFT my EMPLOY, he is therefore NO LONGER authorised to COLLECT MONEYS on my account. P. Johns, Melbourne Iron Works, 84 Flinders-lane east. [4]
No other record of him has been found.
