He married Phillis Rhodes 28 Mar 1936 [2], in St Luke's Methodist Church, in Mosman Park, Western Australia. They had three children together.
Alfred Joseph Oliver Begent passed away 10 Jun 1997, in City Beach, Western Australia, Australia [3][4] and was buried in Karrakatta Cemetery.
