Biography

Disowned by Westland Monthly Meeting on 25 Jun 1808 (he was made a non-member) but, then on 25 December 1823 Westland meeting consented that Sandy Spring, Ohio Monthly Meeting might receive him. Settled first at Redstone (region around Brownsville, PA), in about 1809 moved to New Garden, Columbiana, OHhio, then in April 1816 he moved to West Township Columbiana, Ohio, and 1830 to Augusta Township. He was a stonemason & farmer.^[1]

612. Robert Regester (Abigail, Mary, Sarah, George) , b.12.24.1779; d. East Rochester,O., 8.5.1838; m.1.1.1807 Abigail Rigby b. Chester (now Deleware) Co. Pa 1.8.1785; d. E. Rochester 4.8. 1869 dau. of Daniel Rigby and Abigail Baker (p. 139) last of East Rochester' both buried at August Meeting. He was disowned by Westmorelant Mo. Mtg.4.25.1808 for marriage by a magisrate to one not member but on 12.23.1823 this meeting concerned that Sandy Spring Mo. Mtg O. might receive him into membership. They settled first ....but about 1809 was received to New Garden Columbiana Co. O.; thence 4.1.1826 to West twp. Columbiana Co. and in 1830 to Augusta twp. , Carroll Co., He was a stone mason and a farmer.
