Biography

Abraham's surname is seen spelled various ways including Ricks, Rickes and Rickesis. He was born 3 Dec 1674.[1][2][3] It is frequently seen that he was born in Jamestown but a record of the birth location is not found in the extant birth records.

He married Mary Bellson, daughter of Edmond and Mary (Tooke) Belson, on 16 Mar 1703, probably in Nansemond County.[4]
