At the age of 31 Percival married 22 year old Susan Kate Ivy Phillips on 2 August 1919 at Musgrave, Durban, Natal[2]. Percival's occupation was recorded as Machinist.
They went on to have about five children.
He passed away in 1947 at the age of 59[3] and was buried at Stellawood Cemetery and Crematorium, KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa[4].
His widow Susan died in 1965.
