Biography
Marie Roy was born about 1798, the daughter of Wenceslas Roy and Marie Henriette Leger.
Marie married Thaddée Gallant, son of Marin Gallant and Marguerite Haché, on 3 Jul 1820 in Grande-Digue.[1][2] A dispensation was granted for 3 degrees of consanguinity (view relationship). Witnesses on the groom's side were Moise Gallant and Maximin Gallant his brothers and on the bride's side Venceslas Roy her father and Eugene Leger her uncle.
Marie died on 5 Nov 1844 and was buried two days later in Grande-Digue.[3][4] Her age noted in the parish register was about 46 years, the wife of Thaddée Gallant.
