Biography
Clémence Gallant was born and baptized on 29 Sep 1823 in Grande-Digue, New Brunswick, the daughter of Thaddée Gallant and Marie Roy.[1][2]
In the 1861 census Clemossa [sic] (age 37) lived in the household of brother Thadie in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.[3]
Clémence married Joseph Auguste Landry on 13 Feb 1865 in Grande-Digue.[4][5][6] He was noted as being from the parish of Shediac and she was from the parish of Dundas. Witnesses were Olivier Robichaud and Madeleine Haché.
Clémence died on 19 Sep 1882 and was buried two days later in Shediac.[7] Her age noted in the parish register was 59 years, the widow of Joseph Auguste Landry.
