Tinsley White Rucker Jr. (March 24, 1848 – November 18, 1926) was an American politician, soldier and lawyer.

Rucker was born near Farm Hill, Georgia in Elbert County and attended Princeton College and the Georgia Military Academy. He joined the Confederate Army during the Civil War on March 24, 1864 and served until the war's conclusion.

After the war, Rucker attended the University of Georgia School of Law in Athens where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Literary Society and graduated in 1868. He was admitted to the state bar in 1871 and began practice in Athens.

Rucker is buried in Oconee Hill Cemetery section Valley lot 61.

Note: RUCKER, Tinsley White, a Representative from Georgia; born near Farm Hill, Elbert County, Ga., March 24, 1848; attended the public schools, Princeton College, and the Georgia Military Academy at Marietta; served in the Confederate Army from March 24, 1864, until the close of the Civil War; returned to Athens; was graduated from the law department of the University of Georgia at Athens in 1868; was admitted to the bar in 1871 and commenced practice in Athens, Clarke County, Ga.; was appointed by President Cleveland as assistant United States district attorney for the northern district of Georgia in 1893 and resided in Atlanta; returned to Athens in 1912 and continued the practice of law; elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-fourth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of United States Representative Samuel J. Tribble (January 11, 1917-March 3, 1917); was not a candidate for renomination in 1916; engaged in the practice of law; died on November 18, 1926, in Athens, Ga.; interment in Oconee Cemetery.
