Alma Rosa Sampson was born on November 4, 1908 in Albany, Western Australia, Australia, daughter of Walter Joseph Sampson (1876–1964) and Rosa Amelia Harris (~1878–1970).[1].

Alma (25) married Robert Christopher Burkitt (23) (born on September 22, 1910 in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia) in 1934 in Porongorups, Western Australia[2].

Porongorups Wedding. — . Burkett—Sampson [3]
Porongorups ball was filled with well-wishers for the marriage of Alma Rose (Queenie) second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Sampson of Mt. Barker to Robert, only son of Mr. C. Burkett, Town Clerk of Narrogin, on Saturday, July 7. The Rev. N. Inwood officiated. The ball was artistically decorated by Miss Rene Dunne and girl friends of the bride. An arch from which suspended a beautiful wedding bell was formed in front of the altar. During the signing of the register Mr. Frank Faulkner rendered "Because" ; Mrs Cluett presided at the organ.
The bride made a charming picture as she entered the church on the arm of her father, wearing a frock of white elephant skin, the cowl sleeves and neck being relieved with lace. The skirt was inlet with godets, those at the back forming a train. She carried a bouquet of pale , pink lilies. She was attended by her sister Miss Jean Sampson, who wore a distinctive frock of rose pink satin and carried a bouquet of hyacinths and ferns. The second bridesmaid was Miss Ruby Wolfe (cousin of the bride) who was daintily attired in a frock of blue satin and carried a bouquet of pale pink roses and fern. They each wore a string of crystals and carried lame evening bags, the gifts of the bridegroom. Alice in Wonderland" headbands completed their toilettes. Mr. A. Brown was best man and Mr Ron Sampson groomsman.
The reception was held at Karri Bank, where Mrs Sampson, wearing a smart frock of floral uncrushable crepe de chine and hat to tone, received 150 guests She carried a bouquet of golden marigolds. The room and breakfast tables were admirably decorted with fairy fern and pink: snapdragons by the combined staff of Karri Bank and Bolganup. The Rev. lnwood was master of ceremonies and the usual toasts were honoured. At the conclusion of the breakfast dancing was indulged in until the early hours of the morning.
During the evening Mr and Mrs Burkett left for Alhany and Narrogin, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride's traveling frock was of saxe blue morocain with a chic hat en suite

Alma died about February 1, 1995 in Bull Creek, Western Australia, aged about 86. Alma was memorialised in Fremantle Cemetery, Palmyra, Melville City, Western Australia, Australia with a death date of 5 February 1995.[4].
