Richard Brian Sampson was born about April 1935[1] at Orange, NSW, the son of Constance Bouffler and Lyle Sampson. Richard was the second of four children.
Richard Sampson died young.
Sadly, Richard took ill on 11 March 1944 and passed away at Orange Base Hospital the same day, aged just 8 years and 11 months old.[2][3][1] He was survived by:
Sympathy will be extended to Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Sampson, of Pinnacle Road, at the great loss they have sustained by the death of their son, Richard Brian, which occurred at the Base Hospital on Saturday. He was nine years of age, and only took ill that day. Rev. A. G. Halliday performed the last sad rites at the funeral on Sunday afternoon. Mr. P. J. McGowan had charge of the arrangements.
