Biography

Drury Satterwhite b. 1773, SC d. 1812 buried at Chappells, Newberry County, SC. m. 1797, Nancy M. Pettypool b. 15 Jan 1776 d. 1807, daughter of William Pettypool and Frances Brooks; their daughter, Susannah Pettypool b. 1782 d. 1816 m. 1807, her brother-in-law Drury after her sister, Nancy, died. (Pettypool SC Will). Susannah’s children: Teresa Caroline Satterwhite and Narcissa Emily Satterwhite. After Susannah died all of Drury's children under age 21 were placed in guardianship of John Griffin.
