Biography

Martha was born in 1801. She was the daughter of Thomas Sharp (a soldier) and Martha Burrell.

She married Irish Convict Christopher Harper. They had 9 children.

Martha and Christopher parted company and she and Robert Magrane Reily had five children out of wedlock; they subsequently married on 24 February 1848 at Hinton near Maitland, Australia under the name of Sharp.

She passed away in 1861 at the age of 60 and is buried with her husband at the Tumut Pioneer Cemetery^[1]
