Thomas Harrington's will appears in Rutherford County, North Carolina.[2] The will is dated 1789 and leaves the bulk of his estate to wife Sarah Harrington. Daniel Shipman, Sr., and Jacob Shipman were executors.

A marriage bond dated 22 January 1798 in Warren County, Kentucky, shows the marriage of Betsy "Arrington" (presumably the daughter of Thomas Harrington and Sarah Shipman) and Thomas Bond. Thomas Harrington (presumably a son of Thomas Harrington and Sarah Shipman) was a surety.[4]

A marriage record dated 19 May 1800 in Warren County, Kentucky, shows the marriage of Jacob Harrington (presumably the son of Thomas Harrington and Sarah Shipman) and Betsy Potter, daughter of Thomas Potter. Daniel Shipman was a surety.[5]
Mary Harrington Marriage Record
A marriage bond dated 2 July 1804 shows that John Cate and Mary Harrington (presumably the daughter of Thomas Harrington and Sarah Shipman) were married in Warren County, Kentucky.[6] Jacob Harrington was a surety.
Jacob Harrington Deed
Jacob Harrington, perhaps the son of Thomas Harrington and Sarah Shipman, appears in an 1817 deed in Warren County, regarding land on the waters of Sinking Creek.[7] Sinking Creek lies in the eastern portion of Warren County. See approx. 37.01°, -86.15°.
Many online genealogies assert that Sarah Shipman married Thomas Harrington and had children, many of whom migrated from North Carolina through Kentucky and Tennessee to western Missouri. More research is needed to provide sources for this information.
