When Elias ShuffleBarger was born on February 12, 1762, in Montgomery, Virginia, his father, Jacob, was 22 and his mother, Anna, was 26. He married Mary Wysor on September 3, 1791, in his hometown. They had ten children in 36 years. He died in 1826 in Montgomery, Virginia, at the age of 64.[1]
