Sarah Ann Silvester was born in 1838 in Chelsea, London, daughter of Joseph Silvester and Sarah Collie.
Sarah married Walter Major Bull on 12 October 1867 in Chelsea, Middlesex, England.[1]
Piano teacher in 1861.
Research Notes
Some confusion as the Public Records Office records the death of a Sarah Ann Silvester in Chelsea in the fourth quarter of 1882. The Sarah who married Walter Bull was definitely born at the right time and this ties up with all the ages on the census records. Moreover, she lived into the 20th century. There is no other reference to an additional Sarah Silvester in Chelsea, so this anomaly remains unexplained
Any researcher into the name will need to be aware that the spelling of Silvester/Sylvester is almost entirely random, ad hoc changes occurring well into the 20th century.
