Thomas married Carolyn Josie Day (born on 13 Jan 1898 in Easley, Pickens County, United States of America; daughter of William Thomas Day and Tessie Elizabeth (Norris) Day). Their children were:

Thomas died on 26 Jul 1979 in Easley, Pickens County, aged 89. He is commemorated at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.[1]
