Biography

Edward Sims was born on May 25, 1783 in Virginia, son of George Sims and Zebiah Rice.

He first married Isabella (last name unknown) and had at least one child, John C Sims.

Edward (28) and Sally Banks (17) were married on July 11, 1811 in Elbert County, Georgia.

He stated in the last addition to his will in 1838, that he was about depart for a trip to New York.

Edward died on August 4, 1840 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, aged 57. He was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.
