Ellis Nicholas Sligar was born in 4th November 1898 at Reid's Flat via Boorowa, New South Wales, Australia. He was the son of Alexander Sligar and Mary Bulley.[1]
His father, Alexander Sligar, was 30 and his mother, Mary Jane Caroline Bewley, was 29.
He married Alice May Carroll in 1922, in Boorowa, New South Wales, Australia.
In 1939, Ellis sued Una Maxine (Brackenreg) Newham (1893-1973) in the NSW Supreme Court for £2,500 in damages.[2]
In 1949, he lived in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in 1949.
He died in 1967, in Newtown, New South Wales, Australia, at the age of 69.

Ellis served in the Australian Army during the Second World War, in the E C Detn Bks; enlisted 13th January 1942, discharged 17th June 1948.[3]
