Biography
Isom Slone was born in Kentucky.
Isom Slone was born in 1873 to Andrew J. Slone and Louisa (Smith) Slone. He is listed with his parents on the 1880 Census in Floyd, Kentucy[1] On October 2, 1892 he married Rosa Thornsberry (1877–1944) in Knott, Kentucky.[2] They are listed together on the 1900 Census[3] (with four sons listed), on the 1910 Census (with six sons and a daughter listed)[4] on the 1920 Census (with six children listed)[5] on the 1930 Census (with four children in their household)[6] and on the 1940 Census[7] in Knott, Kentucky. Based on the records available it is believed that they had at least nine children. He passed away at the age of 82 in 1955 and is buried in the Alamander Caudill Cemetery in Hollybush, Knott County, Kentucky.[8]
