Miriam was born in 1718. She passed away in 1752. She was the wife of Sgt. Jesse Warner, Sr.
Miriam Smith was the daughter of John Smith and his wife Elizabeth Hovey.
SMITH siblings: Unknown.
Her early family left Topsfield, Essex, MA for Vermont, then on to NY, OH, and IL, where Joseph Smith Jr., The Prophet, died. He was a descendant of Robert Smith and Mary French of Topsfield in the 1600’s, as was Miriam (Smith) Warner, but she was in an earlier generation than Joseph.
She married Jesse-4 Warner Sr. on 10/30/1739. Miriam died two days after giving birth to her last child, Benoni.

She catched cold some few days after she was put to bed with her first and only child a daughter which survives her. A nervous fever set in - she died just a year after her marriage." 7. Benoni.*
Sometime before the American Revolution Miriam and Jesse moved to Berkshire County, MA, and settled in the area known successively as Ashuelot Equivalent, Dalton, and then as Hinsdale.
Miriam died on December 12, 1752, two days after her baby, Benoni, died.
Inscribed on her headstone:
"In Memory of Mrs. Miriam Wife of Jesse Warner who died Decem'br 12th 1752 In Her 35th Year
Near to This Grave Lies Benoni Their Son Who Died Decem'br 10, 1752"
