Biography
Birth and parents : Elizabeth was born c.1809 in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, daughter of Samuel Smith and Lucy Tanner.[1][2]
1st marriage and children : She married William Huntley on 30 Mar 1828.[3] They were the parents of :
- Job Samuel b.1829 [4]
- William b.1831
- Ann b.1833 [1]
- Elizabeth b.1835 [1]
- Simeon b.1839 [1] and d.1916
- Sarah b.1848 [1]
1851 : In Trowbridge, Wiltshire : William Huntley (weaver, age 47, b. Trowbridge), with wife Elizabeth (age 42), children Elizabeth (age 16), Simion (age 12), and Sarah (age 3), all b. Trowbridge. Also in the household are William's married daughter, Ann Blanchard (age 18) and his mother-in-law Lucy Howwell (age 73).[1]
2nd marriage : William died in 1859 and Elizabeth remarried to James Merrett.[2]
