- Robert Embree (1619-1658) and Mary Bassett are ancestors to many Embree, Emery, and Emree family members across America and Canada. [1]. Concerning this Robert Embree, Douglas S. writes, "This person, Robert, is considered the Patriarch of most Embree lines in North America." [2]
- John Emery (29 Sep 1598-3 Nov 1683) and Alice (Grantham) Emery, both from Romsey, Hampshire, England, also came as original settlers to America. John was the brother of Anthony Emery.
- Anthony Emery was born August 29, 1601 in Romsey, Hampshire, , England and died Died March 30, 1680 in Newbury, Essex, Massachusetts. Anthony was the brother of John Emery.
